Thanks a lot for your wonderful tips on upgrading linux from 9.04 version. But while updating it says “10.04.3 LTS” is available for updating. Once I click it then it starts downloading files but on distribution upgrade it says”can not upgrade”with supporting text “An upgrade from ‘jaunty’ to ‘lucid’ is not supported with this tool.”
Kindly guide me what has to be done, please.
Thanking you,
Kumarr

Hello Kumar,
You cannot skip versions between upgrades. The version between Jaunty and Lucid is Karmic. Try to update to Karmic and then continue with updating?
Please tell me if this works, if not I’ll further be glad if I can help.
best!

The update fails, Is it possible that repository is shut down?
