Grep'ing the locate or mlocate database is a lot faster.
You can also "pipe" the output to a second grep command and reduce the hits you don't want dramatically.
Remember to use updatedb it the search is for something added the same day you are searching for it.

Not only can wireless communications be tapped but they can be "enhanced" in the other direction. It is quite possible to constantly send subliminal messages, both generic (broadcast to every cell phone) and to specific users.
What is possible, sooner or later WILL BE done by those who can.
