I’m a beginning Nokia 9300i freak and I read some really good articles on you guys site about related stuff. Don’t know the structure of your site and if I am able to communicate with GEORGI DIMITROV, aka “hip0”, through this way. But I try.
Please, could you help me find the solution to a problem present with my Nokia 9300i since some weeks. I can’t install software anymore. Normally, I use the Nokia-PC-Suite or the local FileExplorer to do the job. But now, after trying to install something (regardless what), the Nokia screen just returns to the previous desktop WITHOUT INSTALLING ANYTHING.
Is this problem a common one with a known solution? Are there some valuable help sites where I could possibly find a solution? I already looked up google for hours and hours without a clue…

Hi Peter,
Yes this is the correct mail. The problem you experience is probably caused by some application you have installed which messed up some of the basic structure files of your Symbian OS.
I would suggest you try to remove all applications that you don’t absolutely need and see if that helps. If this doesn’t help at all you can either try to format your Nokia.
You can search through the blog I have a post about formatting the Nokia 9300i.
Be aware that formatting would wipe up and restore to factory defaults so backup your data before you proceed to format.

You will need to re-install your applications, if the applications were not installed on your SIM card. if they’re on the SIm card you will have to change the app shortcuts to the proper ones. This should hopefully solve your issues.

What is rather fun is during the anti-protest organized by Metropolitan Nikolay (with people only from the Plovdiv eparchy just like in the good old times of communism was financed by the unwilling people to go to the event). I guess you cannot read the writtings on the icon as it is in cyrillic.
This is not Saint Mary and Saint Peter but Adam and Eve written in cyrillic on top of the icon.
Actually in orthodoxy it is a requirement for the depicted personalities, especially saints to have
written on the names of the saint and have the Halo. If you look closely at the picture you will notice
the two Adam and Eve are missing a Halo. The only person with a Halo in the icon is Saint John the Baptist.
