Comment on Disable default Thunberbird annoying Display Images blocking (Display Pictures in Thunderbird by default) by mrmeval.
It’s a security feature. All you have to do is push a button to display the images now. Every piece of spam that you allow to display an image now will know that they have a valid email address.
