Installing EEMame to play MAME games on Nokia 9300i / Turn your Nokia mobile to arcade game statition

EEMame Nokia 9300i

Since I’m keen on old school arcade games I checked online if I can install and play MAME (Multimedia Arcade Machine Emulator) games (roms) to my Nokia 9300i mobile.
The information on the topic on the Net is pretty much muddled so it took me a while until I found that in order to install a MAME port for Nokia 9300i I will have to use EEMame – MAME for Symbian Mobile Phones .
The first thing I came across before I finally found EEMame was EMame 9210 .
Emame is a port of Mame that is compatible with Nokia 9300i since the 9300i mobile has backward compatibility with the older 9210 phone.
To save memory since the Nokia 9210 has low memory capacity the Mame 9210 application is actually separated in 4 applications each of which containing a set of drivers for a number of mame rom game files.:
The whole application Emame9210All.sis is separated into the following parts:

EMame9210Set1.sis
EMame9210Set2.sisEMame9210Set3.sis
EMame9210Set4.sis

For convenience the developers has provided also a .sis file containing all the up-mentioned 4 parts in one .sis archive
For some convenience I have created a mirror from which you can download EMame9210All.SIS

Though the Emame9210 would install on the Nokia 9300i and you’ll be able to run each of the 4 exe files from the Nokia file manager I couldn’t make the application work with any of the listed roms that are marked as a tested on the Emame9210.
Honestly I didn’t really spend much time trying, so it could be my fault that I couldn’t bring the Emame9210 on my 9300i mobile. Be aware that trying to run some rom files downloaded from romnation.net and listed as compatible with the 9210 arcade emulator led the Emame9210 programs to crash.
So assume the Emame9210 is not really compatible with the Nokia 9300 phone. Anyways this first time though mournful was just a plunge-board to the “real deal”, e.g. the real joy experienced when I found out that the EEMame port is available for Nokia 9300i
To install the EEMame on my Nokia 9300i I downloaded and installed the eemame-series80-1.1.SIS . The file is also available through EEmame’s official website download section along with few other EEmame for a few other Motorolla and Nokia powered devices.

Another thing I really liked about EEMame is that it’s released under the GNU General Public License

So far so good ’till now I was having a complete working version of MAME to my Nokia 9300i mobile but I was lacking any games and I was absolutely lazy to scrape through the internet to find some working rom files for the EEMame, not to mention that only a exact set of rom files is compatible to the device and you have to check and download the compatible games one by one … this is pretty much insane especially if you’re a busy man as I am.
I assumed somebody has already done the hard task of downloading and creating a pack with rom files that run on the EEMame so I spend approximately some half an hour to look for a preliminary prepared pack of rom files that would run on the EEMame mobile (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator).

Some time ago I made a romset that includes 1320 of 1321 Roms known to work with EEMAME (also included). Hope some of you will like it and have fun playing these original arcade games (i.e. Wonderboy, Ghost N Goblins, Joust, Arkanoid, 1943, Burger Time, Contra ...).
By the way, when starting a game and you read 'press OK to continue' just push left and then right on the directional pad on your phone and the game will start.

I tested them (many of them) on my N95.
You can also try this version of EEMame to use with the Set above (I have not tested this version as i am using the one includet in the set)Happy new year and peace to everyone.

As you can see in herbalb’s message the ROM games for EEMame are not tested with other mobile phones except the N95.
I downloaded and tested his EEMAME rom pack set and I have to confirm almost all the game are loading with EEMame perfectly fine.
However there is two minor down-sides of the EEMame on Nokia 9300i. First you will probably have to play the rom games without a sound, because when sound is enabled almost all the games will work slow as hell, and second most of the MAME emulated games will occupy just a small portion of your screen and you won’t be able to enjoy the joy of playing the game on a full wide screen on your cellphone.
Anyways life is not perfectly anywhere, being able to play all this wonderful oldschool arcade directly on your Nokia 9300i mobile turns your mobile into a sophisticated game station and guarantees you a lot of fun.
I have prepared a list of all the rom files included with MAME_S60v3_and_working_ROMSET_by_herbalb.rar, you can check the whole list of roms available for EEMame on Nokia 9300i here

I have also made some few modifications in the readme of the herbalb’s archive and have included the necessery sis file to install and run EEMAME on Nokia 9300i the new archive can be downloaded here.

Since I've bought ZTE smat phone and I have Android on it, decided to install   Viber – iOS, Android and Desktop PC – Free Calls, Text and Picture sharing through the internet app. Viber is used by a lot of my people including many friends already so I installed it as well to be possible to speak for free with close friends …

What makes this nifty app so great is its capability to make free calls over mobile phones through the Internet Viber.
Viber saves you a lot of money as calls are handled only through the Internet (you need Wifi on your mobile or Mobile 3G Internet access on phone) and you don't need to pay to your mobile operator 0.10 – 0.15 euro / cents per minute. Besides being Free another advantage of Viber is conversations sound quality which is much better than a regular phone call

Viber doesn't need a special registration, but as (login) identificator uses your mobile phone number – you just need to have a working Mobile operator phone num. Once registered under a number even if you change your mobile sim card to other operator (for example moving from country to country) still the Viber account will continue work. Another good reason to use Viber is it makes possible price free calls between different countries (for example if you travel a lot and you want to regularly speak with your wife) – in my case right now I'm in Bulgaria and my wife is in Belarus, so to save money and keep talking daily we use Viber daily.

Another reason why Viber is so great is its multi-platform support it works on iPhone, Blackberry, Windows Phone, Nokia (Symbian), Windows, Mac OS and even (Korean own OS-ed) Bada devices. Some might argue that Viber is inferior to Skype and interms of Voice and Video quality its better because of its enhanced HD voice enhanced codecs, besides that Viber's video is still in Beta. Viber – How to make Phone calls between Desktop PC and Smarphone Mobile

 

One not so standard Viber use is to make Viber calls with no smartphone (at hand) from PC to another Viber equipped Mobile and vice versa.
I needed to make Viber calls from my ZTE Android running mobile to my wife's MacBook Air PC because her mobile is an old Nokia running obscure Symbian version which is not supporting Viber + she doesn't have an Internet access tariff switched on her mobile.

Here is what I had to do to make Phone calls between my Mobile Viber App and my wife's MacbookAir Notebook PC:
 

  • Install BlueStacks Web App Player

    BlueStacks App Player is a software designed to enable Android applications to run on Windows PC, Apple Macintosh Computers and Windows tablets. BlueStacks is something like (VMware, Qemu) Virtual Machine which allows you to install and run any Android App on your Desktop PC.
    Its curious that app was created by Rosen Sharma in 2008 an ex CTO (Chief Technology Officer) of McAfee
     

  •  A mobile phone with a working SIM card (Nokia 6310 or any old mobile no need to be a smartphone
     
  • Desktop PC with Windows 7, 8 or PC with Mac OS


Install Bluestacks

BlueStacks is needed in order to emulate a smartphone on your PC, therefore once setupped Bluestacks. Launch it and  inside its necessary to login with your Gmail (Google Account) in order to allow access to Google Play Appstore on your PC.

Installing and Verifying Viber

This is the most crucial and tricky part in order to make Viber working on any device you need to receive a special Viber verification code, you need to fill in this code to confirm Viber installation on PC. Here I assume you have BlueStacks running with Viber Application installed.

First will be prompted to Agree with Terms and Conditions and provide Mobile Phone number for verification. Tell the Viber app that you have a smartphone with Viber already when prompted. After receving Viber Verification Code you need to fill in this code into BlueStacks Window (inside Viber should be running), go further to next step and you should be done with Desktop PC Viber number registration.

N.B. ! One brackets to open here is you need to have a working Mobile Phone number where you will receive the verification code as SMS, otherwise you cannot get the verification. On your filled in mobile phone number you will get the verification code as SMS.

Making Viber Calls to (Windows Mac) PC without Smartphone

There is no more further need for BlueStacks so you can uninstall it, however I preferred to keep it as its useful to be able to install Android Applications straight on your Desktop PC. To start using Viber on Desktop, just launch Viber application (not through BlueStacks) but the direct install.

Use Viber dial pad to dial your desired remote Smartphone number with Viber equipped.

Anmap network port scanner – Nmap security scanner for your Android Mobile and Tablet

Those who have to deal with network security or do periodic UNIX / Windows server security audits know  well Nmap (Network Mapper).
NMAP is the swiss army knife tool of choice of both crackers and security exports and it is a must have exploration tool.
For those who just heard of Nmap or want  to learn more on Nmap basics, I recommend my previos articles how to check Windows / Linux host port security (by examples)  and test a local network for open Windows shares.

Nmap is one of the most improtant tools for every cracker (white, grey black hat "hacker"). Nmap is a legendary hack tool and probably the prevelent networt security port scanner tool over the last 10 years on all major Operating Systems. Nmap's high portability is thanks to being open source, being ported so far for:

Window – Zen, Mac OS and Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD and even obscure proprietary operating systems like Hewlett Packard's UNIX – HP-UX, Sun Microsystems's UNIX variant Solaris. It is in an interesting fact to mention probably not much known Sun Solaris's core code base is based on Berkley's BSD 4.4 whose fork nowadays give birth to FreeBSD and rest of *BSD family OSes. 
Nmap evolved a lot through the last 7 years from only having a command line interface for hardcode console geeks like me to having a nice shiny GUI frontendinterface ZenMap.
Nmap is popular for being one of the hack tools in the famous move The Matrix (II) – Reloaded.

As hacking and security penetration is quickly moving from PC Desktops and Notebooks to more mobile and stealth variants with recent boom of smartphones – it is no strange that Nmap got ported to the most wide-spread (and very Linux compatible) – Android OS under the name ANmap (Android Map).

By the way using your android device to scan your own Android device on localhost (just like on above screenshot), could be quite helpful and often could reveal some unwated services, run by malware or viruses application.

To get full use of ANmap's full functionality (Stealth Scan, Full version and port scan etc.)  just like on other operating systems ANmap has to run with super user privileges .

To be able to run applications with Super user access on Android you need to have ROOTED ANDROID  (Tablet / Phone) device – rooting android is just a simply hack that makes Android OS to run certain applciations with root (administrator privileges). Usually Rooting a device breaks ups vendor (reseller) guarantees, so if you root your device to run ANmap on it be very careful to which application you give access to run as super user!
As Anmap page reads: There are some little bugs, as domain names resolving and unroot scanning.

If you want to use Anmap only command line interface (without gui).
Download compiled nmap with data files in this tar ball or this zip archive and keep it in one folder.

Than connect to localhost via ConnectBot, untar and start scanning:

$ tar -xvf nmap-5.51-1.tar
$ su
# ./nmap 127.0.0.1

Fix random reboots of ZTE Blade 3 Android and other chineese smartphones – Fix battery strange discharge after reboot

I'm owning ZTE Blade 3 chineese brand mobile phone. I thought there is not a big deal to buy chineese mobile phone as it saves money but the good old saying: "The Cheap always is more expensive" came true to proof the old wisdom.

The phone runs some Android port of version 4.0.4 and generally it runs well for a couple of days, but after the increase of application the battery started discharging too quickly, I have to charge almost daily … also occasionally since I have turned synchronization of mobile phone numbers with Google  from settings the ZTE Andorid phone started to randomly loose its contacts (after which I had to restore with proprietary application Dr. Fone). After a while I realized there is another fix, sometimes Contacts restore was also possible through using free application Contacts Sync Fix, but most of the times the only thing that could resolve the contacts is to dig for lost phonebook contacts with Dr. Fone …. Eventually I realized the Lost PhoneBook Contacts issue can be resolved by itself on a random principle so the missing phones issue sometimes solved by itself just by switching off complete the phone for some time and switching it on again after 12 hours?! Recently I found another alternative way to restore sudden (deleted) disappered phone numbers by:

Settings -> Profiles and Synchronization -> (Go to configured gmail account settings) -> Settings of Profile

Then

(Frequency of syncrhonization, messaging etc.) -> (click over the email address) -> Frequency of email check (every 4 hours) 

Set the every 4 hours settings to Never and then after a minute or 2 (interval), set back the Never (opt) to every 4 hours

Since some time I started facing another more severe problem – random phone reboots after which the battery often kept at a critically low charged. The batter often fall to 40% or 50% charge from 99% / 100% charge, and after some time of talking over the phone the battery fall down to as low as 18% and in a short random time it fall to 9%, then after a reboot it uppered the charge to 35% or 45% and the oddities continued. My first guess was it could be the battery being broken, some colleagues at work advised me to completely discharge the battery so the phone couldn't boot and then try to charge it with Battery Doctor free Android Application. Battery Doctor has a special 3 stage charging:

1. Bulk Charge

The primary purpose of a battery charger is to recharge a battery. This first stage is typically where the highest voltage and amperage the charger is rated for will actually be used. The level of charge that can be applied without overheating the battery is known as the battery's natural absorption rate. For a typical 12 volt AGM battery, the charging voltage going into a battery will reach 14.6-14.8 volts.

Where first 80% of the battery are charged with a rapid electricity influx to battery once 80% of battery charge is reached charging is moved to the so Absorption Battery Charge

2. Absorption Charge

Smart chargers will detect voltage and resistance from the battery prior to charging. After reading the battery the charger determines which stage to properly charge at. Once the battery has reached 80%* state of charge, the charger will enter the absorption stage. At this point most chargers will maintain a steady voltage, while the amperage declines. The lower current going into the battery safely brings up the charge on the battery without overheating it. This charge phase takes much longer time to charge.
Then comes the final charging state Float Charge

3. Float Charge

Some chargers enter float mode as early as 85% state of charge but others begin closer to 95%. Either way, the float stage brings the battery all the way through and maintains the 100% state of charge. The voltage will taper down and maintain at a steady 13.2-13.4 volts, which is the maximum voltage a 12 volt battery can hold. This charging is also known as "trickle charging". Float Charging battery electricity influx is so small that you can leave the phone to charge in this mode for days (if you like).

But guess what, after I tried to completely discharge the battery, it discharged to a state where it auto rebooted just before Android boots and reboots again and again, after nothing happened for about 2 hours of leaving the phone to automatically rebooted I decided to try the Battery Doctor 3 stage charging without having my battery completely dried out. The 3 Stage Charging is also known as Android Battery Calibration process and as I heard it helped fix many people's battery which for some reason got their Android battery in a broken state without physically substituting it.

Unfortunately In my case using Battery Doctor didn't help … so after spending time to read on some forum threads finally found this one. There many Bulgarians complained for buying ZTE Blade III and Huawei variations from the 3 major stream bulgarian mobile phone operators – M-Tel, Vivacom and Globul and shortly after experiencing the strange random chineese smart phone reboots.  Some suggested that the Android Kernel is causing the issues or the firmware and suggested Phone Software Reset, however as I red most people that tried to solve it that way reported this doesn't solve it. Many People said to have shipped the phone as it was in a warranty back to services and phones were given back often with flushed firmware and in a little while the problem re-occured, some reported of another strange fix – a tiny sticky thing which kept the battery more stable?!! 🙂

Yes I know it looks kinda of insane … as this little holder could be any piece of paper and many reported to have fix the random battery charge drop down by sticking a tiny piece of paper between the battery and mobile shell I try it myself and GUESS WHAT?? IT WORKED !!! :)))

This is pretty much the Bulgarian and Russian primitive way to fix things but it works 🙂 I was exceedingly happy as I already have spend plenty of money for this mobile and I really was unwilling to buy another phone and it was out of warranty. I guess the whole issues started after I have occasionally dropped my phone on a couple of times on the ground and some little piece of plastic holding the battery eroded or whatever … Anyways the PAPER WAY WORKS! Cheers and hope this saves someone else out there from having to spend on new mobile!

Nokia Communicator 9300i connection via Bluetooth on Debian GNU/Linux Unstable

I wanted to connect my Nokia Communicator 9300i device via bluetooth on Linux on
my Thinkpad running Debian GNU/Linux unstable. By default my bluetooth is disabled
because I usually do not use the bluetooth.
To make the bluetooth back running I had to issue the command:
# echo "enable" > /proc/acpi/ibm/bluetooth
Next the bluetooth-wizard came to play:
# /usr/bin/bluetooth-wizard and then I had to follow the intuitive dialogs,a 4 digit code was generated by my Linux system the whole system was required to be provided
on the Nokia Communicator.
The only left thing is to use gnome’s bluetooth-applet “Blowse Files” feature.

In case if bluetooth-applet is not appearing as an applet in your gnome panel. You might need to:
# /usr/bin/gnome-control-center
– Search for the Bluetooth menu:
Make sure the “Show Bluetooth icon”‘s tick is presented
Last thing to note is that I tried using the bluez-gnome debian package
as a mean to communicate with the Phone unsuccesfully. As far as I could understand
from a couple of posts I’ve red online the Nokia communicator requires the obex
protocol to communicate data. This is not supported by bluez-gnome.
I’ve also red a couple of interesting posts which explained how to usep3nfs to mount your telephone via the unix nfs protocol

Substitute for the Gnome bluetooth / Or how to properly manage your bluetooth (obex) connections in Gnome

I connect my Nokia 9300i mobile phone over bluetooth every now and then. In that connection, everyoften I do experience problems with properly connecting the device to my notebook running Debian Squeeze/Sid Unstable on it’s Desktop.
Until recently it really annoyed me that I had to loose time restring the Linux system sometimes when an access to the mobiledevice was failing, without any good trackable error message.
The connection error I have experienced quite often when I was trying to browse my Nokia 9300i cellphone using the bluetooth protocolon Linux was:
“the name org.openobex.client was not provided”
You can read about a similar error to the one encountered by me when using bluetooth on my Debian Linux in debian bugs mailing list on osdir
The way I solved the issues with connecting over bluetooth on Linux until recently was by rebooting the whole Linux system (dumb)!.
Some other things I try to get arround the bluetooth connection errors was by trying to re-enable my bluetooth notebook embedded device on my Lenovo Thinkpad with command:

root@noah:~# echo disable > /proc/acpi/ibm/bluetooth
root@noah:~# echo enable > /proc/acpi/ibm/bluetooth
I alsy tried to physically remove the bluetooth module, rfcomm and a few other modules which were preventing the removal with rmmod of the bluetooth module.
However this solution did’t help either .. To solve the issues I tried few other stuff one of which was installing libobexftp0 and obexftp since my Nokia 9300i uses the obex protocol to communicate with the computer through bluetooth

I have to note that so far I have used the embedded general gnome application Gnome Bluetooth by using the bluetooth-applet .

Well all my worries came to end finally by simply using another piece of bluetooth communication software callde blueman
Since I have installed that handy software bluetooth is working perfectly fine everytime with my mobile. I warmly recommend to everybody out there to switch to the blueman which is a substitute for the old crappy gnome-bluetooth pack

It’s probably also worthy to say that the blueman app is written in python.

Russian Arcade old school electronic game for your mobile – Russian Eggs (Nu Pogodi)

I still remember the days of  "Electronic Games".  As a citizen of Bulgaria – a country which was almost a Soviet Republic (in alliance with the Soviet Union)  and due to existence of separation between Communistic and Democratic societies, we the kids of the Eastern Block didn't have the opportunity to play the so popular in that time in democratic "free world" arcade games on consoles like Nintendo and Atari. Nomatter that in  Soviet Union times there were a couple of electronic games.  Games were not advanced and were copying already concepts existing in games produced by major game company producers like Konami,  Data East, Atari and Nintendo. Russian console like games were a separate game device running its own hardware and software, the major company producing that games was the legendary Electronika.

Elektronika was so emblematic in Soviet Union times that there is probably no kid who used to be a citizen of the USSR who doesn't remember playing some of  Elektronika's games. The most famous game produced by the company is "Ну Погоди" / Nu Pogodi (Wolf / Vylk) and was popular under emblematic name "Eggs".

The hardware of the Eggs game was actually a clone of famous Nintendo game console  – Nintendo EG-26 Eg.
There were a couple of other games which was remake of "The Wolf / Eggs" like "The Merry (Cheerful) Cook" – "Весельiй Повар"  running on Nintendo FP-24 Chef, Explorers of Space (1989) (running on MG-13) and a couple of others.

So why I bring back this old good memories ? 🙂 Because my readers who remember the Eggs game should know the game has a remake application for Android OS under name Eggs. To install it follow prior link or (Type in Google PlayStore "Eggs" or "Russian Eggs"), install and bring back the mania of the old days of the distant 1989 to 2014!!! 🙂

There is no question whoever thought of porting the game for Android was a genious as the size of most middle class mobile smart phones almost perfectly fits the size of the original Nu Pogodi!
The game surely can be a time eater as it is addictive 🙂 The sound effects of the game brings back child memories and are pure joy .
Its nice that the game had a remake asour children can enjoy the same old school arcade game of youth of their fathers 🙂

How to install Skype on Nokia n95 8G mobile phone

How to install skype on nokia n95 8G java client program

 I was asked if it is possible to install Skype on a Nokia Mobile N95 8G by a relative of a friend.  I remembered I've earlier installed and used Skype on my Nokia 9300i with some kind of Java Skype client, so I guessed installing Skype on Nokia N95 will be much easier and most likely supported by Skype.com's available mobile versions.

Further on, I tried downloading from Skype.com's client mobile download versions and after selecting the model of the Nokia N95 OS which is Symbia, was asked for a mobile number to which Skype will be send via SMS. I've typed in the Mobile number, hoping it will be the usual click on link and authorize Skype download and install on mobile, but instead Skype send me in SMS, just a link to Skype's Mobile download section  http://www.skype.com/m/ .

In other words, typing in the phone number and navigating through the URL from the mobile was completely useless. As I ended on the same place where I could manually browse using Nokia embedded Browser ….

Though I did my best to look through all the appearing links in N95's browser I was just redirected to either the same or similar page with  Skype Download button. After getting pissed off of looking and not finding any usable Symbian Skype app install binary (.SIS or SISX), I've decided to just look in Google. If some third party website is not storing  .SISX Skype bin for Nokia N95.  After few minutes of search I've found one offering an Archive with 3 versions of Skype. 2 of the .sisx files
, were versions of Skype which I've installed using Nokia Mobile Suite for Windows. Two of the .sisx files in archive Symbian Mobile Skype ver. 1.5 and Symbian Mobile Skype ver 5 did not work on N95. The binary that launched okay on the Mobile was Skype_S60_3_0_v_1_5_0_12.sisx. Though this binary launches the client and one can choose between the usual Sign In or Register new skype name buttons, it wasn't possible to login with the username and skype. After a bunch of prolonged waiting trying to Sign in the skype showed up again the Skype Login Name and Password prompts.

I spend some more time, trying to Install Fring – free mobile, chat, voice, video Skype substitute program, after reading on few Symbian Forums that fring is able to be used as a mobile substitute for Skype. Just a bit after installing it I've red on some forums some other posts from  2010, saying fring support for Skype is no longer available.  I tried also to login to Fring's client with Skype Login and Pass but login failed thus uninstalled Fring and continued researching online whether Skype can somehow be used on Nokia N95 mobile.

I've found a Skype Java (.JAR) same file version which I have also installed on my Nokia 9300i and downloaded and tried this one as well. Guess what it works 😉 It is not supporting Outgoing Skype users video clients, and it supports incoming Skype Video calls only with pre-purchased Skype call minutes, but Skype messaging works. I've made mirror of nokiaN95.jar Nokia N95 Java skype program here. I was lazy to research further if there is some other software or Skype.com symbian old version mirrored somewhere on the net working with the N95, but I guess it is possible. If someone reading this post knows a better Skype binary supporting Skype Video and Voice please drop a comment how ? Other way to use skype without loosing time to install Skype client is http://IMO.IM web Skype service.

Fixing weird problems with missing File Explorer on Polaroid MPCS700 tablet with Andorid 2.2 (Linux kernel 2.6.32)

I’ve been given Android Polaroid Tablet which had only 5 clickable icons on main (touchscreen) display:

  • Settings
  • Wi-Fi Settings
  • Youtube
  • Browser
  • App market

The shipped in standard applications for Listening Music, Watching Videos, Managing Photos and Browsing files / ( My Photo, My Video, My Music, File Browser) were missing.

Main problem was File Browser by default shipped with Anroid was missing, and if an USB Stick / Flash Drive is plugged in to the USB port, a message appears along with a sound indicating the USB Flash Drive is detected but there was no way to access the USB Flash drive data ….

The tablet is a second hand bought one and is not my own and it appeared like someone has messed up with it trying to change default Android Linux kernel with some “hacked” (custom compiled one?).

The exact Android version installed on it is 2.2, I checked navigating to:


Settings -> About Device

Onwards to fix the messed android I had to reset the device to its factory settings by navigating to:


Settings -> Privacy -> Factory data reset

This formats the device and all installed programs and restores the kernel to its original version, so after few minutes of waiting all worked like a charm 🙂

The normal programs for viewing pics, listening music, File Explorer all come at place. Even both VFAT (Fat 32) and NTFS formatted USB drives file systems worked normally with the device. Before that I was puzzled because I suspected the USB Drive is not detected because the kernel is not supporting NTFS and I need to install something. I was wrong just this Factory data reset and NTFS USB bundled by default works as usual 🙂
