Now it is my 4th day being in Pomorie Monastery with Kimba. The monastic life is not so boring as I thought back in the days
Yesterday I was drived to the Kamenar pub, by one of the workers here in the monastery (with the monastic car an old Ford);
We went to the restaurant in Kamenar village with the blessing of the abbot has blessed that we go and enjoy ourselves for few hours there with a group of tourists staying for (1 or 2) weeks in the monastery.
The pub was quite a news for me as it was a nice looking place with a lounge and swimming pool, this seemed quite unusual for especially since it was located in a village with 200 or 300 hundred of people living
The village pub had even a billiard table, the coin price there was on the shocking 25 stotinki (0.13) euro cents!
In the pub came an orthodox priest dressed like a casual person and started singing some traditional old Bulgarian songs (typical for singing in the different regions in BG). The guy was really talented and his memory seem to be very strong, since he was able to sing by heart about 10 songs in a row !
Besides that the priest voice was very beautiful. When I later had a talk with the guy it appeared, he learned professional singing before he became an Orthodox priest some years ago.
What really shocked me when the priest started singing in Italian Luciano Pavaroti, he sang it so well so you can hardly find out if it is not really the real authentic Luciano voice
This priest and the overall people in the pub had a great fun, as the place and people in were quite spirited; Actually I felt in a while like being in Emil Kosturica's movie
Being over with yesterday I will say few words on my monastic experience today ….
The Church bell rang early in the morning to summit the monks for the early morning prayer followed by a Holy Liturgy served. The Holy Liturgy today served was a co-memoration of the feast of Saint Sergii of Radonezh.
Cause it is weekly day here there were not too many people in the monastic Church. The monastery monks were there, few other people and some Russian pilgrim woman. By the way I'm more and more being convinced that many of the Russian people are very pious oriented and have strong faith in God than us bulgarians. Sadly it appears (from my observations so far) Russians generally are richer in faith.
It is sad that Russian Orthodox Christianity is stronger than ours in Bulgarian, especially when we take the fact historically Russians have received the Orthodox Chrisitian faith and language from us Bulgarians …
One of the key figure (brothers) monks Father Sergii is having a name day here, so due to that and because it is not a fasting day today (Thursday), the traditional monastic dinner was bigger and more rich than usual. Some youghurt mixed with cucumbers (Tarator) as we call it in Bulgaria was served with a little salad a few pieces of Banica and even little meat balls (for people eating meat).
The Abbot of the monastery was not served meat as I heard from the cook lady he is completely abstaying from meat since about 10 years already; some of the monk brother didn't eat meat as well.
The dinner started about 12:20 in the usual dinner room. For another day the food in the monastery was tasting super-delicious.
It is rather interesting that the food here is more delicious than the food we usually eat at home; Probably the food is so delicious because large portion of the food on the table is monastic-grown and besides that a food blessing prayer is said everytime before eat time. Earlier times I've heard many others who visited and eat food in monasteries that the monastic food is tastier and more delicious than we ordinary people have on our tables, however I was sceptical until I experienced it myself, these days.
Cause the food is so tasteful, I consume here usually twice more food than I usually eat at home
I recommend anyone who didn't eat a meal in a monastery (yet) to try this at least once in a lifetime ;;;
As I a person who values highly love between man and woman and believes in true love between man and woman under God's providence I really enjoyed The Notebook and I recommend it to everyone out there looking for true love.
The movie gives a good example that one can experience great love. This is a fresh breath for me as I'm surrounded by dozens of people who does concentrate too much about the fleshly pleasure and forget that the essence of love is not in the flesh but in the love between man and woman's spirit and soul. The Notebook is a record of one true love story between a man and wife who went through love, hate long time separation, regret broken heart, loss of path in life, fading love and then after a long time of being away of each other burning love again.
It tells the story of a man and wife who loved so much that they get old together a story of true dedication and lasting love. Watch the movie you will certainly not regret it.
tians should followIn this dark days of humanity, we can rarely find persons who live in a holy way like the saints from the Holy Bible or the Books of the Living of the Saints
Saintship has been slowly disappearing from earth just like it’s prophecised by Christ our Saviour and the Holy Apostles and in later times by many monks, Church hierarchs, patriarchs and hermits.
In Bulgaria as in most parts of the Orthodox world the Christian faith apostacy is also clearly seen. We can no longer see saint hermits like our patron saint of Bulgaria Saint John of Rila
Even in this dark days God still shows mercy to us and still present us some of his saints. The topic of this article as you have already red in the title is Elder Dobri of the Baylovo village
Elder Dobri of Baylova has been a regular person like all of us with a family and children just until 12 years ago. About 12 years ago the I would call him The Living saint has decided to let all the earthly passions and sorrows for Christ and his eternal salvation. He despised the earthly goodness and become a beggar, all the collected money he got were distributed among other poor people or donated to Churches and monasteries belonging to the Bulgarian Orthodox Church.
Day by day and a coin by coin, he has collected thousands of levs (the bulgaria national currency). The gathered money were given to support the live of monasteries and Churches, by this very date. This old man is the greatest donator for the Cathedral Church St. Alexsander Nevski (situated at the heart of Bulgaria’s capital Sofia)
His words spoken just like the saints are full of grace and goodness. One of his famous sayings are:
Man has Always two wills in himself in every moment of his life, the will to do good and the will to do evil
As all the truths his sayings are simple but represent the ultimate truth which was also said in many other forms in The Holy Bible Gospels and God’s law.
The external outlook of Dqdo Dobri is also saintly, he has long beard a shining eyes and a national folklore dress. He looks like he has been out of some old Bulgarian tale.
It’s very striking fact that he that this old man is the biggest donator for our Cathedral Temple, we have many millionaires and businessman in Bulgaria but nobody has decided to donate to our Church such a high sum of money.
Elder Dobri’s donation for the St. Alexander Nevski’s Church is in value 35700 levs (around 19000 euros). Dqdo Dobri is a beggar for Christ, this is one of the major types of saintship we read about in the living of the saints. All the collected money from people are given for God’s Glory. It’s amazing heroism and an example, all we the Christians should follow to fulfill Christ’s law of love and inherit the internal salvation. A friend of mine who has the blessing to see Elder Dobri with her own eyes and have a small talk with him, has shared with me that even though he wears an old ragged clothes, his clothes and body emit a roses like odor!
As the fame about the same has grown these days, the Bulgarian National television has prepared a small video about the saint. I believe the video as a true blessing for us the Christians and will encourage us to persist in the good deads. Here I present you the videos you can see the living saint, I hope by his holy prayers God will show mercy to all us who watch his graceful words:

The day before yesterday, I was in a pretty bad mood and decided to went out. I went to the Mino's coffee and accidently it happened that Geri a friend of mine had a birthday it was refreshing to spend some timewith real people even thought I thought about all's behaviour and particularly "how hipocrity they are".I drinked two glasses of wine for which Miro (Geri's husband) said it smells like socks. Good heavens my nose was stalled. Yesterday I was out for a coffee with Lily .
The weekend was a sort of peaceful.Servers and everything runs fine thanks to the Lord! (ofcourse). I'll end the post with a quote fromthe bible through the small program called "verse".
Here is the quote" "For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him…" II Chronicles 16:9 END—–
It's such a pain into my heart. Yesterday I and Mitko was walking down to see how is in Mino's coffeewhen we met a beggar actually I have seen this man a lot of times he is 37 … now he even broke hisarm. It hurts when I remember him. We talked a little with him and as I understand he is a ProtestantChristian … he is so young and It hurts I really hope God Almighty would do something for this man… he is an alcoholic, but in everything he speaks he is searching for truth .. He told me a partof his story he used to have a family and children but his wife divorced him and 2003 or 2004 andtook him everything he has since then he is on the street. For 3 years he is looking like an old anddying man he said he sleeps under a balcony and even when he gains some money begging there areguys who came and rob him … Today he said he haven't eat food for 2 days and he is still not hungry ..I tried to speak with him telling him God can get him out of living on the street but he said healso wants but it's not God's will to have a living place I hope this is not true.I really Pray and Beg to God and hope the Lord would have mercy over this man.END—–
The last few days went smoothly in general No drastic problems in work which was a great blessing for me. Praise the Lord Oh My Soul :] We lost two afternoons with Narf writting (actually translating) a text for a presentation we have in Business Communication scheduled for Tuesday with Mrs. Svetla Stoyanova (a vice rector) in the college. It became like a tradition the eating of rise with vegatables in the new chineese restaurant. I used to watch two very intriguing films about the Quantum Physics/Mechanics which is on a way of prooving the spiritually exist. On a low level the Universe is even more magnificient than on the surface. I also watched very interesting film about "The Secret of the Water" which was based on a scientifically researched fact that water is "alive" and have memory just like a computer RAM. Yesterday Night we went out just for 20 or 30 minutes and Met a friend of Nomen who offered us to drink beer. He told us a very interesting fact that in Dubai Arabian men who are usually close relatives walk over the streets holding their hands Like gays (For their traditions this is something like great honor), even in the pubs this close relatives used to sit one in other :]]. After that we were just on our way home when we met Paco we walked for some time and speak about our Faith in Christ. Paco said he didn't feel spiritually okay the last days so I tried to confort him about some truths that flowed out of my heart. Today I was on a coffee with Lily and She got depressed again (I really hate this thing). I heard a great Christian Industrial band on http://christianindustrial.net/ (Dead Turns Alive), what I personally like in the band is the old school sounding they were able to put in their music, actually they played EBM here is a link to their video you can enjoy http://www.deadturnsalive.com/video/influence.avi .I was in my grandmother this evening I really feel bad about this old sweet granny. She is so good hearted and like a model for what we the believers should be sadly she has real problems with her Ears and Seeing the Diabet is making her suffer badly… I hope she'll be better. I prayed The Lord to help at least a little with, Laying her hands. During the day and in the mornings and the Evenings for a group of ppl and the World in general. There is also a good news. I speak with Slavcho (A brother in Christ), a month ago he suffered an amputation of his right leg. Slavcho is in a really terrible material/financial state. Every month he is living on the edge. Living with 120 lv. per month where 40 lv. from the sum he has to give for the rent of the apartment they live with his aunt. But God knows our needs and did a glorious thing for him. Slavcho told me his testimony today. He was in two protestant Churches in Plovdvid where he is currently for examination of his health state after the amputation. He told his story how he grown as an orphan how he believed/received Christ and how hard his life was. One of the Churches member decided they'll collect tithe will donate him the money. Yes Praise be to the Lord Shabbaoth The Lord of Hosts.. HalleluYah . Seems like there are some real servents the world has. Whilst the Devil is taking inch after inch after inch of the earth leading so many blind ppl to his Satanic Kingdom. I looked at http://adsx.com. The probable technology matching the Prophecies for which we can read in The Book of Revelation. The technology now serves 500 Big Hospitals in the USA. Only for 5 or 6 months they put it in a new 200 Hospitals … But I guess this is just the beginning of the integration of the "Number of the Beast" Into the World Economy/Trade/HealthCare/Structure …END—–
Well Praise the LORD. I was able to cheat today on the International Law exam. I know this is not very christian but you know. I was ill and in the end why should I know by heart things that I don't know in my daily life. The exam continued for 2 hours. After that I went home, because I had to upload the file data and sql data of one new domain we started hosting today http://eurohold.bg. Everything in uploading file data and sql data went smoothly. After that I did a change in the DNS for the planex.bg domain to use their own mail server. And right now I'm trying to emulate some sort of DEC machine with homerx, but I can't find out the password for it. Will google around to check about it. Today I feel much better than yesterday, well thanks God you rule! Blessings in the name of Jesus Christ
